Now that the Atlanta Falcons have addressed the quarterback position in free agency, most assume the team will focus on the defensive side of the ball in the first round of the 2024 NFL draft. While that may be true, don’t rule out the Falcons selecting a quarterback with one of their eight draft picks.

This year’s class features some blue-chip QB prospects at the top and a handful of others who could develop into quality starters in the right situation. With four picks in the first three rounds of the draft, the Falcons should be able to address multiple needs without reaching.

Defensive linemen and defensive backs should be at the top of the list and those are the positions the team targets in Pro Football Focus’ three-round mock draft. PFF’s Trevor Sikkema projects Atlanta’s first four picks, giving the team a few potential starters and a developmental QB prospect with pick No. 79:
