Who better to talk about backup QB’s taking advantage of an opportunity than Jeff Blake? Let’s get Jeff’s take on the current Bengals situation.

Once upon a time, the Cincinnati Bengals were having a long-term quarterback problem. Jay Schroeder, David Klingler and others weren’t getting the job done, so in stepped a little-known backup named Jeff Blake.

He ended up making a Pro Bowl with the team in 1995 and had some of the better passing seasons in team history. “Shake ‘n’ Blake” mania took over the Queen City for a time and he parlayed his Cincinnati success into a 13-year NFL career.

Jimmie, Tom, Tony, Jamie, James and Marc brought on No. 8 to talk about his rise to stardom as a backup and what this Bengals team can expect with Jake Browning coming in to play.
