Tennessee Titans cornerback Kristian Fulton was among the biggest standouts during his team’s incredible Week 2 win over the Seattle Seahawks, which is saying a lot considering the Titans had no shortage of great performances on both sides of the ball.

Fulton notched one tackle and one pass defensed, but more importantly he was sensational in coverage against Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf, who he helped hold to six catches for 53 yards.

When directly matched up with Metcalf, Fulton surrendered just one catch on five targets for eight yards, per Pro Football Focus (H/T @FWordsPod).

Adding to that, Fulton won the mental game against Metcalf, who was routinely lashing out at the LSU product throughout the course of the game.

Fulton was rightly happy with his performance overall.

“It was pretty solid,” Fulton said. “It was fun and just getting that opportunity with the coaches believing in me, I just wanted to put my best foot forward and just try to make as many plays to help the team win.”

The 2020 second-round pick says his confidence, comfort in the defense and the belief the coaching staff has in him all contributed to what was his second-straight impressive showing.

“Being confident and comfortable. I feel like the game has slowed down for me a lot this year,” Fulton said. “The coaches have been helping me with film. I’m just trying to make plays and I’m just trying to make sure I build up on my games throughout the week in practice. Just want to make sure the guys are giving me good looks so I can be ready on Sundays.

“It’s great when the coaches believe in you, it gives you an extra boost of confidence. It’s great to know that the coaches believe in me and I don’t want to let them down.”

After a lost rookie season due to injury, Fulton is quickly making up for lost time and his impact is being felt in a big way. Right now, he looks like the Titans’ best cornerback.
