Houston Texans 2021 player profile: DE Shaq Lawson

As many anticipated, there was a trade agreed upon between the Houston Texans and Miami Dolphins this offseason. However, the transaction did not involve Deshaun Watson, but his college teammate at Clemson, Shaq Lawson.

Lawson is a player that new general manager Nick Caserio is somewhat familiar with. Lawson was in the AFC East with the Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins while Caserio was director of player personnel with the New England Patriots. New coach David Culley also got to see Lawson in practice daily from 2017-18.
