Houston Texans coach David Culley has been enjoying training camp and preseason.

The 65-year-old rookie coach is getting his shot after first getting into coaching in the NFL as an assistant with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 1994.

What Culley has been big on since his arrival in Houston has been culture.

“The big thing with me is I know that whatever we’re preaching as far as a culture has got to be the same every day, every minute that we’re here,” Culley said. “In order for them to believe that, they’ve got to see me every day coming in and understanding that what I’m saying is what we’re doing. And that’s what I try to do and will continue to do. That’s all I know.”
