Houston Texans rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud had an award-winning month in November.

Not only did Stroud lead the Texans to a 3-1 record over their past four games, but he also completed 68.8 percent of his passes for 1,466 passing yards and 10 passing touchdowns during that span. His passing yards were the most in any four-game span by a rookie since the 1970 merger and his steak of four consecutive 300-yard passing games is also the longest by a first-year player, according to the NFL,

That production was good enough for Stroud to win both AFC Offensive Player of the Month and NFL Offensive Rookie of the Month. It’s the second time this season that Stroud’s won the Rookie of the Month award after he took home the accolade in September.

Stroud hasn’t just been on fire this month. He’s arguably been the best rookie this season and the clear frontrunner for NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. Stroud’s even been discussed as a possible MVP candidate. He ranks second in passing yards, seventh in passing touchdowns and first in passing yards per game among all quarterbacks through Week 12.

The Texans have a shot at the playoffs now thanks to Stroud’s play. While they sit third in the AFC South, they’re right behind the Indianapolis Colts for the seventh seed and a game back of the Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers for the fifth and sixth seeds.
