Let’s get to the Philadelphia Eagles links …

Insider notes on 2024 NFL Draft: Trade talk heating up for Broncos’ #12 pick, Cowboys eye top center, and more – SportsKeeda
Which teams could trade up? Last week during an appearance on the Seahawks Draft Blog podcast with Rob Staton, I speculated that the Philadelphia Eagles could potentially trade up with Seattle, jumping ahead of Jacksonville for one of the higher-rated cornerbacks. And according to sources, the cornerback the Eagles desire is Quinyon Mitchell. As of Tuesday afternoon, I’m told the Eagles are speaking with the Denver Broncos about trading for the 12th selection so they can draft the Toledo cornerback. The Broncos, in turn, would receive the Eagles’ pick in the first round (22nd selection) which they would use to draft quarterback Bo Nix – a strategy I outlined on Monday. The Eagles have a pair of picks in round two and would part with one of them to move up to the Broncos’ spot.

Rumor: Broncos are in talks with the Eagles and Steelers about a potential trade – Mile High Report
There is a good bit of smoke right now about the Broncos trading back rather than up in the first round of Thursday night’s NFL Draft. NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported that he has a sense that the Broncos are more likely to trade back than up in the draft and now we have this report/rumor of the Broncos talking trade with the Eagles and Steelers. If the Broncos can trade back, acquire more picks, and still draft Bo Nix, a quarterback who is a great fit for Payton’s offense, I will feel good leaving night one of the draft. It would be great to get one of the top four quarterbacks, specifically J.J. McCarthy, but keeping those future picks and still getting a good fit at quarterback would be a good deal.

Two Corners – Iggles Blitz
Speaking of the draft…my buddy Tony Pauline (America’s leading Led Zeppelin fan) says the Eagles are interested in trading up for CB Quinyon Mitchell. He says they could trade a second round pick to Denver to move up to 12, with the idea of taking Mitchell. There is no guarantee Mitchell will make it that far, but he should be on the board at that point. The Steelers are also talking about moving up. I’m not a huge fan of moving up, but I am definitely a big fan of Mitchell. He is the best CB in the draft. Mitchell had a great career at Toledo. He was a two-time All-American. He had 52 PDs and 6 INTs. Mitchell then had a great showing at the Senior Bowl. He topped that off with a great Combine performance. Mitchell has checked every box. His game tape is impressive.

Russini: What I’m hearing about the NFL Draft and Jayden Daniels, Drake Maye and teams moving up – The Athletic
Be ready for “Houdini Howie.” A league source said the Eagles have called to move up from No. 22. Howie Roseman is on the hunt for a cornerback.

Eagles cornerback Isaiah Rodgers reinstated by the NFL – BGN
The guess here is that Rodgers is more likely to compete for an outside cornerback job but it’s possible he’ll take reps both inside and outside. We’ll see. With a strong offseason showing, Rodgers could conceivably earn a starting job. Or at least a top backup role. There could be plenty of competition at corner with James Bradberry still on the roster, Kelee Ringo potentially taking a leap in Year 2, and the Eagles in position to pick a cornerback within the first three rounds of the 2024 NFL Draft. It’ll also worth noting that Rodgers could factor in as a kick returner. His 61 career returns have resulted in a 27.0 average and one touchdown, which is above average. The NFL’s new kickoff results have potentially increased Rodgers’ value, giving him another avenue to make the roster

Final Eagles-only 2024 seven-round mock draft – PhillyVoice
AMARIUS MIMS: A couple years ago, the Eagles selected the center in the draft who most resembled Jason Kelce. Of the offensive tackles in the 2024, Mims is the closest thing to Lane Johnson, in my opinion, in that he probably has the highest upside of any offensive tackle in this class. Of course, the downside is that if Mims can’t play guard in the short term, he will have to understudy behind Johnson for a year or two. We got deep into the pros and cons of that approach a week ago. The payoff could be that Mims — who is still only 21 years old — develops into an elite player in Philadelphia, where he can learn from the best RT in the NFL and be mentored by a master developer in Stoutland.

NFL mock draft 2024: Updated picks for every team to start DRAFT WEEK – SB Nation
22. Philadelphia Eagles select Tyler Guyton, OT, Oklahoma. I refuse to believe the Eagles will select a first round defensive back until Howie Roseman does it, so the Eagles opt for their right tackle of the future at 22. Guyton is a bit rough around the edges as a former TE, but his athleticism and smoothness in the pass game will be a lot for OL coach Jeff Stoutland to work with.

NFL: Falcons, Eagles tampering probes won’t conclude this week – ESPN
The NFL’s investigation into alleged tampering by the Atlanta Falcons and Philadelphia Eagles remains ongoing and will not be concluded this week, the league said Tuesday. So if either team is found to have violated league tampering rules and loses draft picks, those selections will not come from this week’s draft. The Eagles and Falcons each have eight picks in the 2024 draft.

Where Are They Now? WR Jeremy Maclin – PE.com
“You go through such a long process, so many interviews, and it’s exhausting,” said Maclin, now the head coach of Kirkwood High School in Missouri, his alma mater. “To be drafted by an organization that is so well respected, that knows how to win, I knew I was going to be in a good position to have success. It was the most fulfilling experience for me in my career. Everything I dreamed about, every bit of work I put into it, it all paid off. It was a weight lifted off my shoulders.

Cowboys pre-draft news conference: Jerry Jones adamant team remains ‘all in’ – Blogging The Boys
Team owner Jerry Jones had the media buzzing heading into free agency in March, when he told them the team would be “all in” when it comes to making moves to put themselves in a situation to succeed. Unsurprisingly, when the Cowboys only signed one player in the first wave of free agency and watched several players join other teams, Jones faced media backlash for his previous comments. On Tuesday, Jones remained adamant that the team is all in, expressing his confidence in the current roster. He mentioned that the team is currently short on cap room, but believes that there is plenty of talent in this draft class to help the team this upcoming season.
