We’ve been printing free money with Dontayvion Wicks overs this season, but after a 90-plus-yard performance, those days are probably over.

There’s plenty to celebrate about after the Green Bay Packers took down the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday. First and foremost, the offensive passing game has looked solid for the third straight week as quarterback Jordan Love recorded his first 300-yard passing game, the first for the Packers since 2021.

Every single significant pass-catcher on Green Bay’s roster had a moment in this game, too. Jayden Reed was the team’s top overall skill player. Dontayvion Wicks led the team in receiving yards. Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson each caught a touchdown. Luke Musgrave caught four balls. Tucker Kraft brought in a 27-yarder that could have been a touchdown had he not stepped out of bounds.

This is exactly the type of performance that Packers fans were hoping for in the second half of the season. Sure, there’s plenty to work on, particularly on the offensive line, but the offense is making strides.

Defensively, injuries exposed some of Green Bay’s depth. Jonathan Owens, who has skated by the last few weeks against Brett Rypien and Kenny Pickett, wasn’t able to hide in the shadows against the Chargers’ Justin Herbert. Hopefully, Rudy Ford and/or Darnell Savage can return to the field sooner than later.

Speaking of injuries, APC’s Justis Mosqueda and Evan “Tex” Western give you up to date updates on running backs Aaron Jones and Emanuel Wilson, who were both carted to the locker room on Sunday.
