Adebo is currently the second highest-graded CB in the NFL.

The New Orleans Saints have one of the best CBs in football this season. No, it hasn’t been Marshon Lattimore but Paulson Adebo. The former Stanford Cardinal has been an absolute lockdown this season.

After being a liability in coverage last season, Adebo has improved to become one of the game’s best this season. Let’s examine some numbers to prove just how much Adebo has improved.

The Rise of Adebo

Last season, the former third-round pick suffered a severe sophomore slump. He gave up 48 receptions, 652 yards, and five TDs in coverage per PFF. He was also given a 48.6 coverage grade. Opposing QBs would target Adebo as the weak link of the Saints secondary.

It seems Adebo was able to put this season behind him and hone his craft. This season, PFF has Adebo graded as the ninth-highest player in the entire league. On top of this, Adebo is the second highest-graded CB in all of the NFL. Adebo has allowed the second-lowest passer rating amongst CBs in the NFL.

Adebo has also been an incredible playmaker. His four interceptions are tied for third in the entire league. He also has seven PBUs, which is tied for sixth in the league.

It’s been absolutely incredible to watch Adebo this season. He’s come up clutch time and time again for this team. Adebo deserves a lot of credit for putting his head down and working hard this offseason.
