Thorsday Open Thread, Part Deux: 8/19/2021

Here we go again

Happy Thursday……again!

As is our daily ritual, when our special on sloth soup begins, we open up another seating area in which you can congregate and postulate. Have at it, and remember to be cool to one another. SKOL!

Updates since our last open thread:

From NBC, the NFL wants to grow data and analytics to drive revenue, and just hired a former Ford executive to help do that. I have no clue what any of this means, but it was at the top of the page.

From NFL.com, it doesn’t appear that Dak Prescott will play until the season opener. I wonder whether we’ll see him play then.

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags|
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm.
