Several players who had missed lots of practice time were back on the field for Thursday’s session.
The Kansas City Chiefs conducted their 13th full practice of training camp on Thursday morning at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph — and several players were back at work.
The first to be noticed was offensive lineman Mike Remmers, whom the Kansas City Star’s Herbie Teope spotted wearing pads as he walked to the field.

ESPN’s Adam Teicher reported that rookie Lucas Niang took the initial first-team snaps at right tackle, but Remmers also got some reps there.
Teope also noted that linebacker Willie Gay Jr. — who has been in the concussion protocol — was back in pads and doing some work on the field as practice began. Defensive end Alex Okafor — who has missed a number of practices with a hamstring injury — was also in pads.
Don’t see WR Antonio Callaway (bone bruise), DE Taco Charlton out here.

But wide receiver Antonio Callaway (bone bruise) was absent from practice. So was defensive end Taco Charlton. As practice began, what was keeping Charlton away from the field was unknown.
Tight end Evan Baylis (ankle) and guard Laurent Duvernay-Tardif (hand) both missed another day of practice in the rehab area — as did offensive lineman Kyle Long (knee) and linebacker Malik Herring (knee), both of whom remain on the team’s injured lists.
