Titans ink Rashad Weaver to rookie deal

He comes to the Titans after a very productive career with the Panthers where he earned consensus All-America status in 2020. He also garnered first-team All-America honors from four of the NCAA’s recognized selectors: Associated Press, American Football Coaches Association (AFCA), Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) and Walter Camp Football Foundation.</p> <p id="RImGgN">At Pittsburgh, Weaver was a savvy pass rusher with an exciting and advanced skill set. Immediately after the draft concluded, several analysts hailed Weaver as one of the steals on Day 3. After impressing in Mobile at the Senior Bowl, many believed he would see his draft stock rise. </p> <p id="phu6tc">Weaver recorded 17 sacks and 34.5 tackles for loss in college. He’ll be battling players like Derick Roberson for meaningful playing time in 2021.</p> <p id="abGGdu">Weaver is currently battling a <a href="https://www.musiccitymiracles.com/2021/5/3/22417558/titans-draft-pick-rashad-weaver-arrested-simple-assault"><strong>simple assault charge</strong></a> in Pittsburgh.
