Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel doesn’t say much on social media, but when an old clip of him notching an interception during his days with the New England Patriots was making the rounds on Twitter recently, both he and safety Kevin Byard had some critiques of it to share.

The clip comes from Week 13 of the 2006 season when the Pats beat the Detroit Lions, 28-21, and it also features current Lions head coach, Dan Campbell, who ended up tackling Vrabel following the interception.

Vrabel actually notched a pair of picks in the game against then-Detroit quarterback, Jon Kitna, and on top of his two picks he also had a fumble recovery, two passes defensed and eight total tackles.

Before we get to the critiques from Byard and Vrabel, here’s a look at the clip itself.

Byard complimented Vrabel on his “vision and break” during the play, but thought the Titans head coach could have done better with ball security and his celebration. Vrabel had a little fun with it, also.

Vrabel is entering his fourth season as Titans head coach, making him the second-longest tenured head coach of the Titans era. The final year of his deal comes in 2022, but we expect him to get an extension before that.
