Titans’ Ryan Tannehill likely to hold workout with receivers during break

After the Tennessee Titans’ mandatory minicamp concludes on Thursday, the team will have more than a month off before the start of training camp on July 27.

But quarterback Ryan Tannehill is planning on using that time off to continue building chemistry with his pass-catchers, as he revealed on Tuesday that he will likely hold a workout with the group over the summer break.

Tannehill could use as much time with his receivers as possible, as the Titans are set to have multiple new players in the passing game this year, including Julio Jones, Josh Reynolds and Dez Fitzpatrick.

Tannehill acknowledged the amount of talent the Titans are set to have in the passing game this season, but rightly noted that in order to have that talent translate from paper to the field, the team has to put in the work.

As far as Jones is concerned, Tannehill believes that the process of getting on the same page with the star receiver involves getting to know each other better, both on and off the field.

One very noticeable quality Tennessee’s wide receivers group has is size, as Jones (6-foot-3), Reynolds (6-foot-3), Fitzpatrick (6-foot-2) and A.J. Brown (6-foot-1) are all 6-foot-1 or bigger.

Tannehill explained the benefit of having that kind of size in his targets.
