NFL teams didn’t have to deal with much crowd noise last year. In case you didn’t know, there has been a global pandemic going on for about the last 18 months. At the beginning of 2020 pretty much every team was playing in an empty stadium. Some teams increased capacity as the year went on, but there were still no sold out crowds for an opposing team to deal with.

While the pandemic is still going on, attendance restrictions are not. Teams are back to playing in front of full houses. Sunday is the home opener for the Seahawks. Their fans are most likely chomping at the bit to get back into Lumen Field. That place has a reputation for being loud. I would expect it to be insane on Sunday.

The Titans have a veteran group on offense that shouldn’t be overwhelmed with the noise. They don’t have a single starter that wasn’t in the league before the pandemic started. It will probably be a bit of an adjustment acclimating to a silent count, which they will inevitably need on Sunday, but it shouldn’t be something that will completely trip them up.

That’s good because they were terrible last week with no noise to deal with. To me, the most important thing about this game on Sunday is getting the offense going. If they go up there and lose 38-35 to fall to 0-2 I will feel pretty good about their chances to be as good as I thought they could be this time last week.

If they can’t get it going in Seattle this week it will be a huge red flag.
