Trayveon Williams co-authors paper with Alex Sinatra for Harvard

Cincinnati Bengals running back Trayveon Williams just finished the first class at Texas A&M University School of Law where he is co-teaching another semester of sports law with Professor Alex Sinatra. Williams also co-authored a paper with Sinatra for Harvard Law School’s Journal of Sports and Entertainment.

The paper is entitled: College Athletics and NIL: Perspectives from a Practitioner and an Athlete. It delves into the current law centered around name, image and likeness and athlete advocacy along with experiences from both Sinatra, Williams and other prominent names in the space.

Williams understands and appreciates the importance of having his name associated with such a prestigious school and does not take a moment of his journey for granted.

“I just want to thank my co-professor Alex for being such an honorable teammate. It’s crazy how we both come from a world of sports so she understands how to be a great teammate and we just cohesively work together in such a fluid way. It is a great feeling and I am so thankful to be able to be on this journey with her. The future is bright and so thankful to be a part of this with her. To be a co-author on this Harvard paper and to have it published. It’s a great feeling and I am extremely blessed.”

The paper was published in the most recent edition of the journal. Williams and Sinatra are teaching their second semester at Texas A&M University School of Law and are ready for the new challenges and opportunities this journey will afford them.

Williams is still full-steam ahead in his NFL journey and continues to bring his all both on the field and in the classroom.
