Tuesday Open Thread: September 7, 2021

It’s the final day of our sloth soup special, get it while it’s……slow!

Happy Tuesday, everyone!

I hope all of you enjoyed the extended weekend. We didn’t get out much, everyone and their grandma was out camping this weekend, so we stayed home and worked in the yard. Well, I worked in the yard, my wife spent one day canning, then she and kiddo both got sick. They’re at the clinic as I write this getting tested for Covid. Kiddo’s came back negative, my wife is waiting for her test. They both had fevers, so we figured it’s best to go get tested, just to make sure. Plus, I’m gonna need help in the yard.

I smoked a pork loin roast this weekend, it was amazing. I had to get the smoker ready twice. I had just gotten my chimney starter going, and dumped the lit coals into the smoker, then I was putting the top part on, and kiddo hit me in the back with a water balloon. I jumped, the smoker and water pan fell on the coals……..so we started over. Kiddo felt horrible……so I hit him with a water balloon, then he got sick a few hours later. Odd weekend it was. Oh well, looking forward to Sunday’s game against the Bengals, let’s hope there are no injuries, and let’s also hope that our passing game has a pulse. SKOL!!!!
