Following a fourth-quarter touchdown pass by Falcons quarterback Desmond Ridder, the team trailed by eight points to the Commanders in Week 6.
Atlanta opted for a two-point conversion instead of a field goal, hoping to cut the deficit to six points. Ridder missed Drake London on the two-point attempt, but the Falcons received a second chance following a Commanders penalty.
Running back Tyler Allgeier was stuffed short of the end zone on attempt No. 2 and fans were left baffled by the call. Smith was later seen looking frustrated with Ridder on the sideline after the QB threw a red-zone interception.
Falcons fans on Twitter went off on Smith for his questionable fourth-quarter decisions.
