How fast can things change in the NFL? Just one week ago, the Cincinnati Bengals were road favorites against the Detroit Lions, a position they made good on with a blowout victory.

Now they’re road underdogs against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 7.

Over at Tipico Sportsbook the Bengals are 6.5-point underdogs in the matchup that features major implications at the very top of the AFC North.

That’s not too surprising, as the Bengals took care of business last week against a still winless team while the Ravens smacked around a 4-2 Los Angeles Chargers team to the tune of a 34-6 beatdown.

That was Baltimore’s fifth consecutive win to move to 5-1, which includes another notable win over the Kansas City Chiefs. They’re also doing it despite missing some major names due to injury, mostly thanks to quarterback Lamar Jackson.

It probably doesn’t help that Baltimore walloped Cincinnati in 27-3 and 38-3 fashion last year, either. The Bengals are better this year, but it’s worth pointing out.

All that said, the Bengals do make for a pretty interesting underdog play here. The defense is much, much improved and Joe Burrow is rolling, largely because Ja’Marr Chase has added a much-needed dimension to the offense.

One thing’s for sure — if the Bengals nab an underdog win here, oddsmakers won’t sleep on them in big games much longer.
