WATCH: Eric Bieniemy describes Chiefs’ ‘winning culture’

The team’s offensive coordinator and star quarterback will be participating in the NFL’s Quarterback Coaching Summit this weekend.
Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy and quarterback Patrick Mahomes will be taking part in this year’s NFL Quarterback Coaching Summit, which will be held virtually this weekend.
On Monday morning, Troy Vincent — the NFL’s executive vice-president of football operations — tweeted a video of some of Bieniemy’s remarks at last year’s summit, in which he described the team’s winning culture as leaning on players like Alex Smith and Mahomes to be team leaders — but also saying that the Chiefs consider every player who joins the team to be the most important one.

“Whoever walks through that door is, by far, the most important player,” said Bieniemy. “We’re going to need that player. And our veterans understand that — and they’re going to help raise those individuals, because we never know when those particular players are going to be called upon to win the game for us. That’s what I call a winning culture.”
