The Falcons have a quick turnaround following Friday’s tie with the Bengals. Atlanta will take on the Pittsburgh Steelers this Thursday in the team’s third and final preseason game.

Since the NFL stopped having multiple cut days this year, teams are now allowed to hold onto 90 players right up until the 53-man roster deadline on August 29.

We’ve yet to see how this rule change will alter the Falcons’ strategy for preseason Week 3. Will the team strictly play its bottom-of-the-roster guys, or will Atlanta look to get first and second-string players one final look before the regular season?

Head coach Arthur Smith was asked about his plan for Thursday’s game, but he said the team was still evaluating things.

“I think we’ve got a decent idea, I just really want to see how the next two days go,” said Smith. “We’ll finalize that Tuesday night.”

The Falcons head coach touched on injuries, penalties and the plan for Thursday’s game. Watch Smith’s full Sunday press conference below, as shared by the team’s YouTube channel.
