Merry Wednesday, everyone!

First of all, prayers to those who are living in areas being affected by the extreme weather conditions around the country. Droughts, excessive heat, famines, plagues……..I think I read a book about this once. Seriously, though, I hope all who are affected are able to stay safe and keep cool.

From Chris, there will be no supplemental draft for the NFL this off-season.

Other Vikings/NFL news and random oddities and annoyances:

Dak Prescott says that this year is going to be “very, very, special” for them this year, per NBC Sports. I’m not sure why this is newsworthy, this is generally what you hear guys say this time of year. You don’t hear preseason quotes from players saying “I think we’re going to suck this year”. Besides, Prescott and the human bobblehead are going to be occupying about ¹⁄₃ of their team’s salary cap over the next few years, so I’m not sure if there’s much room for “very, very, special”. Oh well.

Rams OL JG Wentworth Andrew Whitworth says this year feels like it will be his last in the NFL, per NFL.com. I know what this is all about, Whitworth about at the age to start drawing that 877-CASH-NOW social security check. Stupid guv is starting to take players away from the game now.

From FoxNews, Cam Newton says he feeds off of criticism. Well, with the way he’s played, he should be getting plenty to eat. Dude’s gonna be the size of a dumpster by the end of this season.

-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm.
