Week 18’s Saturday picks

Division rivalries abound in the last week of the 2023 regular season and two in particular are getting the prime time treatment on Saturday now that College Football has wound down most of their games.

Today we get to see the Pittsburgh Steelers visit the Baltimore Ravens in a game with minimal post season consequences. The Ravens have already clinched the first seed in the AFC as well as the AFC North title and are resting starting quarterback Lamar Jackson. Meanwhile, the Steelers have a longshot at the playoffs that requires them to beat the Ravens and have at least one other team in the hunt lose.

The other game is the Houston Texans at the Indianapolis Colts. They are two of the three 9-7 AFC South teams, along with the Jacksonville Jaguars, in the hunt for their division crown. The winner of this game is all but guaranteed at least a wild card spot while they chase Jacksonville for the division lead amidst a storm of tie breakers.
