Weekend Chat: How was your NFL draft?

It’s time to talk about the NFL Draft.

Welcome back to our weekend chat, Buffalo Bills fans.

We missed our chat last weekend because of the NFL Draft, and we had days and days of wall-to-wall coverage here at Buffalo Rumblings. With that in mind, I wanted to follow up on last week’s question with a tweak.

I asked “How do you plan on taking in the 2024 NFL Draft?” Did you stick to the plan?

On night one, I watched NFL Network and worked here at SB Nation. We paced scouting reports onto the team sites when folks were picked, so you had info on the player as soon as possible while the team site writers did their research.

At SBNation.com, we are always looking for cool sports stories to cover, and this weekend was no different. We knocked out some big stories, especially wrapping up some trades once the picks were used that were moved for players like Aaron Rodgers, Deshaun Watson, and T.J. Hockenson (among others).

Starting Friday night and all day Saturday, I turned off NFL Network and threw the NFL.com picks tracker on the screen, turned up some LoFi music, and just handled business.

I bought all these snacks for the weekend that I didn’t end up using. I popped a celebratory sipping beer from Eli Fish on Thursday night but stayed with Aldi cranberry water on Friday night.

Anyway, professionally speaking it was a really successful weekend for us and I had a really good time. Plus I like what the Bills did. Win-win-win!
