The Jacksonville Jaguars will reportedly sign wide receiver Anthony Miller, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Miller was a second-round pick by the Chicago Bears in 2018. In three seasons, he racked up 1,564 yards and 11 touchdowns before being traded to the Houston Texans, where he was released last week.

He’ll likely start on the practice squad, but could make his way to the active roster as soon as this week. But with a London trip on the horizon followed by a bye week, it looks more likely that he’ll hit the ground running in Week 8 against the Seattle Seahawks.

Through five games, the Jaguars have just one receiver (Laviska Shenault) averaging more than 50 yards per game. Miller wouldn’t become a go-to guy by any stretch of the imagination, but he could slot in nicely to the receivers-by-committee approach that Urban Meyer is taking with Trevor Lawrence.
