According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Pittsburgh Steelers are one of the teams who are presently making phone calls in an attempt to move up in the first round of the 2024 NFL draft. ESPN’s Todd McShay said the same.

The latest rumor is a guy the Steelers covet and would move up for is former Toledo cornerback Quinyon Mitchell. Mitchell is universally regarded as the top cornerback in this draft and one of the three best defenders along with Texas defensive tackle Byron Murphy and Alabama edge defender Dallas Turner.

Pittsburgh could also be eyeing a move up to land one of the top offensive tackles in the draft or one of the top wide receivers. The Steelers desperately need a starter at both spots and if a player like Washington wide receiver Rome Odunze should slide or massive Alabama offensive tackle JC Latham gets to the end of the Top 10.
