No. 29 – Lions – Darius Robinson, DE, Missouri

The Lions are knocking on the door and have talent at a lot of key positions. Their DB room is severely lacking after the Sutton incident. However there are no more defensive backs with a 1st round grade remaining on the board. I have a real problem reaching for players in the first round. So in this case, the Lions decide to go best available and take Darius Robinson. He is a large man who will be paired with Hutchinson for years to come. He’s alignment versatile being able to shift inside if necessary. Marcus Davenport will most likely get the start but Robinson becomes another building block for this team that has as much talent as any in the league.

No. 30 – Ravens – Jordan Morgan, OL, Arizona

Morgan bounced back from an ACL injury in 2022 to make first team all PAC-12 in his senior season. Jordan has the size and skills to develop into a starting caliber tackle. Morgan also brings experience that may allow him to contribute right away as the divisional champion Ravens look to fend of the Browns and the rest of the AFC North in 2024.

No. 31 – 49ers – Ennis Rakestraw Jr, CB, Missouri

The selection and write-up were made by Tiffany Burr:

I’m going to draft Ennis Rakestraw Jr. because we need a long-term solution for our CB position.

No. 32 – Chiefs – Ladd McConkey, WR, Georgia

Chiefs have two draft needs at tackle and receiver. Thought about taking a LT/RT at the 32th pick but the run of OL being taking in this mock draft left me no choice but to take a WR and McConkey is the best WR left on the board. He had a solid showing at the draft and can see him being WR #2 in the chiefs system or maybe WR #1 depending on what happens with Rice. See him lining like Edelman did for Brady and becoming a security blanket for Mahomes.

Up next will be the Browns’ picks in the second and third rounds of the 2024 DBN Community Mock Draft.
