49ers 2021 90-man roster preview: Safety

It looked like the 49ers might go into 2021 with some good competition for a starting safety job, and some quality depth once that got sorted out. Now a season-ending torn Achilles for Tarvarius Moore put the starting strong safety job in even more flux than it was.

That puts a spotlight on the all-important safety position for the 49ers going into training camp. With the cornerbacks also surrounded by question marks, the team’s safety duo could become exceedingly important for San Francisco.
