5 offensive linemen the Colts should target in free agency

It was just a year ago the Indianapolis Colts had major questions about their offensive line but after a year under the coaching of Tony Sparano Jr., the franchise now enters the 2024 offseason with no concerns with their starting five.

That doesn’t mean general manager Chris Ballard should be comfortable with the trenches on the offensive side of the ball.

Center Ryan Kelly is turning 31 years old and entering the final year of his contract. Plus, he has only played a full schedule once in the past four seasons.

Right tackle Braden Smith has also battled injuries over his career and hasn’t played a full schedule since the 2019 season. Additions to the depth of the offensive line have to be considered this offseason.

While I am bullish on Sparano Jr. working with second-year tackle Blake Freeland on his development after what he did with Will Fries, I still would like to see a veteran swing tackle added to the roster for competition.

It also would be wise to add someone with experience on the interior of the line to help stabilize the unit if injuries occur.

If Ballard chooses the veteran route, here are five offensive linemen for him to consider via free agency:
