6 49ers to watch on defense in preseason opener

The 49ers defense hasn’t gotten a ton of attention this offseason, but it could be a bigger key to a deep playoff run than their offense.

While Nick Bosa is on track to return for Week 1 and should help bolster the 49ers’ pass rush, a number of times question marks linger elsewhere on the roster. Some of the questions will get answered Saturday evening when the 49ers begin their preseason slate against the Chiefs.
