That was… Arizona Cardinals football even if it was without Kyler Murray.

The Arizona Cardinals made plays late and Matt Prater kicked a 47 yard field goal to win their first game of the 2021 NFL preseason in a 19-16 win over the Dallas Cowboys.

When you look at the players that would play in the early part of the game you had to be excited about a number of things.

First, Colt McCoy is easily the second string quarterback and should give the Cardinals and their fans a breath of fresh air as a backup who can give you a game or two. He finished 6-7 for 69 yards on the day.

However, Chris Streveler did a nice job as well and seems like he has a future in the NFL.

You had to be excited about a lot of the 2021 draft class. First, Zaven Collins was active and engaged early.

Rondale Moore is going to be a huge asset in 2021, and looks like a game changer. Moore finished with two carries for 16 yards and three catches for 23 yards.

Finally, Marco Wilson is a dog (that is a good thing) and should give the Cardinals a boost in the secondary when called upon. The best part is, it wasn’t a complete sh*& show in the secondary in game one and so even though he finished with two passes defensed, they may not need him early.

The other great thing about this game is that Matt Prater was clutch.

Eno Benjamin showed his growth, James Wiggins showed some promise on special teams and Greg Dortch may be a nice return option.

It was a win… It is also the preseason… who cares? We do.
