Tennessee Titans (2-1)

Score this Week: Won Vs. Colts 25-16

By now we all know that the Titans beat the Colts 25-16 on what was an ugly game with plenty of injuries and unlucky mistakes by both sides. The Titans defense took advantage of a hobbled Carson Wentz all game long and the Colts offense could not get anything going through the air because of the consistent pressure that Wentz was facing. The Titans run defense still looks suspect, so it was good for them that Reich did not exploit that.

Injury Report

After a scorching game in Tennessee, plenty of players suffered muscular injuries. Receivers Julio Jones and A.J Brown both suffered injuries, Brown’s being the most severe. Several other starters, like tackle Taylor Lewan, guard Rodger Saffold, cornerbacks Caleb Farley and Kristian Fulton, edge rusher Bud Dupree, and defensive tackle Larrell Murchison are all questionable for Sunday.

Looking Ahead: @N.Y Jets

Easy matchup for the Titans against the Jets, led by rookie quarterback Zach Wilson who is struggling mightily to start off the season. I would still put a few dollars on the Jets to win this, as the Titans might make the mistake of underestimating their opponent, and the Jets could get fired up at home. I could envision a scenario where Wilson gets some rookie magic, and a ravaged-by-injuries Titans team struggles and perhaps even loses.

Jacksonville Jaguars (0-3)

Score this Week: Lost 19-31 Vs, Cardinals

Yet another tough outing for the Jaguars, who just can’t find a way to get new head coach Urban Meyer his first win. This time they lost 19-31 to a red-hot Cardinals squad. Lawrence once again struggled with turnovers, as is common for rookie quarterbacks, and the Cardinals high flying passing attack complemented with some effective red zone running meant the Jags are now 0-3 and continue their losing streak.

Injury Report

Kicker Josh Lambo, who has been struggling a lot, is ruled out for next week due to personal reasons. Tackle Walker Little was placed on the COVID list.

Looking Ahead: @Cincinnati Bengals

While the Bengals are certainly an easier matchup than the Cardinals, they are just a lot more talented in all areas of the game for the Jaguars to keep up with them. I will most certainly watch the TNF matchup between two number one overall picks and former college rivals Burrow Vs. Lawrence. My prediction is that Joe Mixon gets over 150 yards and 3 scores.

Houston Texans (1-2)

Score this Week: Lost 9-24 Vs. Panthers

The Texans offense could not get anything going without starting quarterback Tyrod Taylor, while the CMC-less Panthers offense did just enough to comfortably defeat the Texans. Davis Mills did not look bad, but the running game was non-existent, and when forced to mount a late-game comeback, the Texans folded.

Injury Report

Center Justin Britt, safety Justin Reid questionable for next game, Tyrod Taylor set to return Week 6.

Looking Ahead: @Buffalo Bills

Without Tyrod Taylor, the Texans will be going up against one of the best teams in the AFC, facing a red-hot Josh Allen who is just getting started. Justin Reid’s status will be huge, as he is the team’s best secondary player. Being completely honest, with or without Reid this is probably a blowout loss for Houston.
