News broke on Wednesday morning that former Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers cornerback Richard Sherman was arrested by police for burglary domestic violence. Apparently just an hour prior to that incident, Sherman had a traffic collision on the freeway.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Washington State Police are investigating Sherman for a hit and run, although the “hit” part involved a concrete barrier and thankfully not another vehicle or a pedestrian.

It is not known whether or not this is in any way connected to what allegedly transpired outside a Redmond residence. The time stamp of the crash is important because the 911 call for the alleged forced entry attempt was just one hour later.

Sherman remains a free agent after completing his three-year contract with the 49ers. He’s best known for his years as a member of the Seahawks’ Legion of Boom secondary from 2011-2017. At present he’s being held at King County Correctional Facility.
