Two Kansas City players suffered injuries on Sunday.

On Sunday afternoon, Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid provided an injury update following his team’s 42-30 win over the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 4.

The head coach said that rookie defensive end Josh Kaindoh hurt his left ankle, and that linebacker Ben Niemann has entered the concussion protocol, where he is joining cornerback Rashad Fenton.

The Chiefs played without defensive end Frank Clark (hamstring) and cornerback Charvarius Ward (quad) for the second straight game on Sunday. Second-year linebacker Willie Gay Jr. is still on injured reserve with his turf toe injury, but he is eligible to return whenever the Chiefs feel he is ready.

Reid is due to speak to the media again on Monday via a Zoom conference call at Noon — but we likely won’t have a clearer picture of who will be available to play against the Buffalo Bills until Wednesday, when the Chiefs release their first official injury report of the week.
