The OLB celebrates his first game of the AND the Broncos’ first home win of the season.

The Denver Broncos have officially secured their first home win, and one team member celebrating is outside linebacker Baron Browning. Browning just returned to the field from injury.

It goes without saying that you want to play a part in a win, but being able to re-enter on that note is special, and he seemed excited about it. Browning described his desire to just “boost the defense” upon return.

“I just wanted to go out there and make plays. I knew I was going to play, I just did not really want to deal with all the media,” he admitted, explaining that coming off injury he wanted to focus on football and avoid distractions, “I wanted to be able to take it all in. Sometimes it can kind of be a lot. I just wanted to focus.”

The linebacker shared that he’s been looking in on everything the past few months, and that he couldn’t wait to get back in with his teammates instead of just watching. “Not saying I am not a part of the team, but it is not the same when you are injured,” he noted, “I just wanted to appreciate this opportunity to be back out there with this group.”

Asked about taking all of this in, Browning described stretching on the field with his teammates.

“I think I just kind of took it in last night before the game and before we went out and got fully dressed,” he recalled, “I just went out on the field, stretched a little bit and just took it all in with my team.”

Welcome back, Baron Browning! And to him and the rest of the Broncos… let’s beat the Kansas City now!
