The Bengals need depth at the corner position, and they seem to like McGlothern.

The Cincinnati Bengals have some real talent at the cornerback position. Cam Taylor-Britt is a capable and exciting outside corner, and DJ Turner showed a lot of promise in his rookie year. They also have Mike Hilton, one of the best in-the-box corners in the league.

However, it’s currently unclear who CB4 is on the team.

Chidobe Awuzie signed elsewhere, and while the Bengals need a new spot for Dax Hill, who knows if he can play corner without needing to make some big adjustments to his game or what the coaching staff has in store for him at all?

So it shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone the Bengals are looking at corners in this month’s NFL Draft. According to The Draft Network’s Justin Melo, representatives of the Bengals met with cornerback Dwight McGlothern at Arkansas’ pro day.

“I met with the Cincinnati Bengals’ cornerbacks coach after my Pro Day,” he told Melo. “That was pretty cool. The Bengals sounded very interested in me. We’ll see what happens. I’m just sorting through my schedule as we speak. I’ll be taking some visits as well.”

McGlothern ran a 4.47 at the Combine and was originally playing at LSU before he transferred to Arkansas. He picked off seven passes over the last two seasons with the Razorbacks, which led the defense both years.

The Bengals need a corner they can trust to come in on certain pass defenses and to spell their starters when needed. If the Bengals turn to free agency, it’s likely Turner could be the team’s CB4 this season, but as it stands now, that position is currently unfilled.

A guy like McGlothern could make sense for them, even if they address the position in free agency before the draft or use an earlier draft pick on the position as well. Cornerback is a premium position for the Bengals, and they tend to use an early pick on the position more often than not.

If that trend holds true, and the Bengals don’t address the position in free agency, McGlothern could be one of two or more corners taken in this year’s draft with some of the team’s 10 picks.

What do you think of McGlothern?
