His return was brief, but long enough to demonstrate his apathy for the rules.

The good feelings of Monday night’s win have taken a hit with news that Denver Broncos safety Kareem Jackson has been suspended for the second time in the 2023 season. On Monday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter tweeted the news out.

Jackson had been suspended for four games after his hit on Packers tight end Jake Musgrove in week 7. That suspension was reduced to two games after appeal, making him eligible to return in Sunday’s game against the Vikings.

Early into the first game of his return, Jackson lowered the crown of his helmet and collided with Vikings quarterback Josh Dobbs. Although there was no flag on the play, it’s clear that the message the league was trying to send to Jackson was not received.

Kareem Jackson is able to to appeal this latest suspension, but in light of his past violations of the leagues health and safety policy, it feels unlikely another reduction is in the pipeline. As of now, Jackson could return for week 15’s tilt against the Lions.

Broncos players have voiced their support for Jackson.
