OK, that’s not a coincidence, is it?
The Buffalo Bills take on the Miami Dolphins on Halloween afternoon, and the opening betting line is downright spooky. Buffalo is favored by 13 points in the most unlikely of numbers for the date.
The over/under is 49.5 points.

The number 13 is considered bad luck, so much so that hotels regularly refuse to label the 13th floor as such, triskaidekaphobia is a recognized phobia, and Friday the 13th is both a popular movie franchise and phobia all its own.

The Bills blanked the Dolphins earlier this season, routing Miami 35-0 in their own building. Buffalo won 56-26 last season in Buffalo. The Bills have covered this 13-point spread in three of their last four games against Miami.
Surprisingly, Buffalo’s line isn’t the biggest. The Los Angeles Rams are favored by 14 over the Houston Texans.
