Rodgers and his teammates are in Green Bay and ready to go today.

It’s time to hit the field.

Today marks the first day of practice for the Green Bay Packers in the team’s 2021 training camp. It has been a long time coming, and the offseason has been full of drama, but the important thing for now is this: the team is assembled and ready to make another run at a Super Bowl this season.

Sure, time will tell if this truly is the last season that Aaron Rodgers will play in Green Bay. But the fact remains that he’s back to terrorize the rest of the NFC North and the NFL as a whole for the next several months.

If there was any doubt that Rodgers would report on time after Monday’s news about the deal between him and the team, he put that to rest on Tuesday. In fact, here’s a look at the QB himself showing up on time to camp yesterday:

If you’re a fan of The Office like Rodgers is, you can get this t-shirt from HOMAGE at the link here. But here’s our question: why wouldn’t Rodgers instead show his support for the Milwaukee Bucks, a team in which he holds a minority ownership stake, with this similarly NBA Jam-styled shirt celebrating last week’s NBA title?

Now, without further ado, it’s on to the first curds of camp!

It’s finally here! The first practice of August kicks off at 10:10 AM local time. The Packers will be taking bicycles to practice after all, but the tradition is modified for this year and they will be riding their own bikes rather than those of kids in the crowd.

Now that camp is underway, the league reinforced its protocols through a memo on Tuesday. Unvaccinated players will be fined if they refuse to take a test or wear a location tracking monitor, as well as if they don’t follow the league’s restrictions on activities off the field.

John Kuhn still sees a way for Rodgers to return for 2022 and beyond, as our Kris Burke wrote yesterday as well; it would just take something particularly special both on and off the field.

Pros and cons of Packers trading for WR Randall Cobb | Packers Wire
The deal isn’t done yet apparently, with the team and Cobb still needing to work out a restructured contract. But if he can be healthy, Cobb could provide a more proven dimension from the slot than the Packers would likely get from rookie Amari Rodgers.

While Rodgers is in the news, this seems like a perfect time to look back at Starr’s exceptional career.
