More of the latest Browns news and notes from around the web in today’s dose of the Saturday Dawg Chow.

Dawgs By Nature:

  • Why Cleveland could trade back from Pick 54 (Matt Wilson) – Though anything can happen on draft day, there are a few reasons why the Cleveland Browns’ front office might decide to move their first pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
  • Browns add another draft pick via trade (Thomas Moore) – The Cleveland Browns made a minor transaction on Friday to add another selection in the 2024 NFL Draft. The Browns are sending backup offensive tackle Leroy Watson IV to the Tennessee Titans in exchange for a seventh-round pick in the upcoming draft.
  • Browns NFL Draft Insight: CB Khyree Jackson (Barry Shuck) – The Cleveland Browns cornerback room is a group of strength. GM Andrew Berry is a former corner himself, so he knows two things: 1) the position is very important to the success of the defense, and 2) you can’t have too many good ones regardless of who is already on the roster. NFL draft prospect Kyree Jackson would complete any cornerback room.
  • Browns double trade down mock draft turns out better than expected (Jared Mueller) – For today’s Cleveland Browns mock draft, we are looking at the trade-down variety but, to be a little extra, a version with two trade-downs that also helps move the team up as well. We used Pro Football Network’s Mock Draft Simulator which allows for trades but doesn’t cost to use.

Cleveland Browns/NFL:

  • 3 NFL Draft defensive tackle prospects that could thrive under Jim Schwartz (cleveland.com) – Whether you are a defensive tackle or defensive end for Jim Schwartz, the ability to play multiple positions and penetrate up field to cause chaos are mandatory characteristics for the Cleveland Browns defensive coordinator. Here are 3 guys who would be a great fit at defensive tackle for the Browns.
  • Leroy Watson IV traded to Titans for 7th-round draft pick (Browns Zone) – Low on draft picks, the Browns traded a backup player to add another selection to the pile. Cleveland sent tackle Leroy Watson IV to the Tennessee Titans on Friday for a seventh-round pick (No. 227) in the three-day draft that begins April 25.
  • Georgia WR Ladd McConkey visits Browns ahead of the 204 NFL draft (Browns Wire) – Another top-30 visit for the Cleveland Browns is in the books, with Georgia wide receiver Ladd McConkey coming to town with the 2024 NFL draft just two weeks away.
  • Who is the best wide receiver in the 2024 NFL Draft? Depends on what you’re looking for (The Ringer) – As NFL teams consider Marvin Harrison Jr. vs. Malik Nabers vs. Rome Odunze ahead of the NFL draft, we’re handing out superlatives for this deep and interesting wide receiver class.
  • Taulia Tagovailoa looks to make own path to the NFL draft (ESPN) – For about two hours on a recent March morning, Maryland’s indoor football facility was quiet enough to hear the smack of the ball hitting the receivers’ hands at the Terps’ pro day. With 51 representatives from all 32 NFL teams watching and taking notes, the auditions were consequential and, at times, tense — until the reggae music began blasting through the speakers.
  • Catching Up With Joe Burrow: ‘We Know We Have The Right People In Place’ (bengals.com) – In his perpetual pursuit to evolve as the Bengals franchise quarterback, Joe Burrow showed up for work Thursday with a growing frame to match. It looks to be more than his customary 215 pounds, but one thing that feels right is that his offseason regimen with longtime trainer Dak Notestine hasn’t gone off track with the rehab for his throwing wrist.
