The latest news on Philadelphia and San Francisco.

The Philadelphia Eagles issued their first official injury report on Wednesday in advance of their Week 13 game against the San Francisco 49ers.

Note that this report is an estimation because the team held a walkthrough in lieu of a normal practice.

Five players were listed under DID NOT PARTICIPATE: Dallas Goedert, Fletcher Cox, Zach Cunningham, Justin Evans, and Grant Calcaterra.

Goedert is reportedly pushing to play against the 49ers but being a DNP on Wednesday isn’t a good sign for his chances. Week 14 against the Cowboys might be the more realistic return date.

Cox being DNP isn’t an encouraging sign after he left Week 12 early. But we’ll see if he’s not practicing again on Thursday.

Cunningham is reportedly expected to miss Week 13 and possibly longer. The Eagles have two healthy off-ball linebackers on their roster: Nicholas Morrow and Christian Elliss. They will also likely sign Ben VanSumeren from their practice squad. Shaq Leonard isn’t expected to make a decision on joining the Eagles or not until “over the weekend.”

Evans’ injury situation has been weird. The Eagles activated his 21-day practice window on November 14 and he was limited in practice all week leading up to Week 11 before being ruled out. Then he did not practice leading up to Week 12 and he’s still not practicing leading up to Week 13. I guess he had a setback? Maybe he’ll be activated ahead of Week 14? It’s not like he’s a key player for this team but it’d be nice to have the extra safety depth and another special teams contributor.

Calcaterra appears to be on track to miss his second straight game, potentially leaving the Eagles without two of their top three tight ends yet again. If that’s the case, the Eagles will likely roll with Jack Stoll, Albert Okwuegbunam, and Noah Togiai (projected temporary practice squad elevation).

Seven players were listed under LIMITED PARTICIPATION: Lane Johnson, A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, D’Andre Swift, Jordan Davis, Milton Williams, and Julio Jones.

Johnson being listed as limited is encouraging. He said he’s going to play against the 49ers.

Not ideal to see the likes of Brown, Smith, and Swift all on the injury report. But they’re probably being managed to get to Sunday as opposed to being in real jeopardy of not playing.

Davis was previously dealing with a hamstring injury earlier this season that seemed to get better during the bye week. He may have re-aggravated that issue to some extent. He’ll probably play but it’s not ideal that he’s banged up with the Eagles potentially missing Cox.

Williams being limited is a positive sign after he did not practice last week due to a concussion. He could be cleared in time to play on Sunday. The Eagles need him back in order to help fill out the DT position and slow down the 49ers’ rushing attack.

Jones was also limited on Wednesday last week before being upgraded to full on Thursday. Probably veteran maintenance for the 34-year-old.
