Ex-Austin Peay OL is posting up at Titans’ facility hoping for a tryout

There’s a cool little story developing outside of the Tennessee Titans’ practice facility, as former Austin Peay offensive lineman, Jaylen Flye-Sadler, has posted up there with a sign, hoping to get a shot with the team.

Flye-Sadler started his campaign last Thursday by staking out across from the Titans’ practice facility, and then returned once again on Tuesday.

The sign he’s holding, which says “COVID altered my football path, but not my Faith” also lists his measurables (6-foot-8, 325 pounds) and experience, both in The Spring League and Fan Controlled Football League.

The reference to COVID-19 has to do with his 2020 Pro Day being cancelled because of the pandemic which, like all college athletes, ended his chance of being able to work out for NFL teams.

The big man also posted a picture of his call log, showing that he’s been on the phone trying to get in touch with the Titans’ personnel department.

We love the dedication and think the Titans should just give him a shot with a tryout. After all, what does the team have to lose? Furthermore, there is going to be an opening on Tennessee’s practice squad with Naquan Jones reportedly set to be promoted, and the Titans are dealing with some injuries upfront.

Head coach Mike Vrabel and general manager Jon Robinson always preach about bringing in guys who love football. Based on what we’re seeing with Flye-Sadler, he checks that box.
