Former Cincinnati Bengals tight end C.J. Uzomah has again found a new home in free agency.

After two seasons with the New York Jets, Uzomah is off to join the Philadelphia Eagles on a one-year deal.

If he makes the final 53 after the summer, that means Uzomah will make a return trip to Paycor Stadium at some point next season, with the Bengals slated to host the Eagles on the schedule.

Uzomah was the first of two veterans (the other Hayden Hurst) to find big gains in free agency after playing with Joe Burrow. To their credit, the Bengals never wanted Uzomah to leave in the first place.

As of this writing, Mike Gesicki is the latest veteran to slot into that role in Burrow’s offense.
