Another former Jets is taking his talents to Philadelphia this season. Tight end C.J. Uzomah signed with the Eagles, the team announced Thursday.

The swapping of players between the Jets and Eagles continues. Uzomah joins edge-rusher Bryce Huff as two of the newest members of the Eagles while the Jets traded for former Eagles pass-rusher Haason Reddick.

Uzomah spent two seasons with the Jets, playing in 27 games and catching 29 passes for 290 yards and three touchdowns. Uzomah spent his first seven seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals, helping them reach Super Bowl LVI during the 2021 season.

The Jets cut Uzomah this offseason as a cap casualty. He was set to make $8 million in base salary and count over $11 million against the cap. The Jets weren’t paying that with Uzomah behind Tyler Conklin and Jeremy Ruckert. Uzomah will compete for the roster spot in Philadelphia.
