Green Bay gets both starters available for their Monday Night Football matchup against Detroit.

Here’s some good news to start Monday Night Football: starting safety Darnell Savage and guard Lucas Patrick will be available to play tonight against the Detroit Lions. Savage was a limited participant during the week, listed as questionable, due to a shoulder injury that pulled him out of Week 1’s matchup against the New Orleans Saints. Patrick did not participate in practice until Saturday due to a concussion sustained on the final offensive play in Week 1.

Two Packers are inactive today due to their health: tight end Josiah Deguara and safety Vernon Scott. Deguara saw playing time early in Week 1, mixing in with Marcedes Lewis, Robert Tonyan, and Dominique Dafney, but did not participate in practice this week due to a concussion. Scott has been a limited participant in practice but is still overcoming a a summer hamstring injury.

Receiver Equanimeous St. Brown, going on Year 4 in Green Bay, was activated from the practice squad today and will play for the Packers. His brother, rookie Amon-Ra St. Brown, will suit up for the Detroit Lions at the same position. It also appears that Packers rookie inside linebacker Isaiah McDuffie, a healthy scratch last week, will play in his first regular-season NFL game tonight.

Nickelback Shemar Jean-Charles, center Jake Hanson, defensive lineman Jack Heflin, and the recently-signed pass-rusher La’Darius Hamilton are healthy scratches for the squad. Jean-Charles, Hanson, and Heflin were also healthy inactives last week.

On Detroit’s end, receiver Tyrell Williams and defensive end Kevin Strong are missing the game due to concussions, as they were non-participants in practice and were listed as “out” during the week. Cornerback Corey Ballentine, defensive end Austin Bryant, and running back Jermar Jefferson are healthy scratches.

Jefferson’s status is interesting, as the Lions only have two running backs on their gameday roster: Jamaal Williams and De’Andre Swift, who were both limited participants until Saturday’s practice. Swift was listed as questionable on the Lions’ final injury report.
