Monday night will be a rematch of last year’s Super Bowl, however could it be a preview for Super Bowl LVIII as well?

The Philadelphia Eagles head to Arrow Stadium to take on the Kansas City Chiefs in what could be a potential preview of Super Bowl LVIII on Monday night. Both teams are coming off bye weeks, with Philadelphia looking to avenge their 2022 Super Bowl loss against Kansas City.

The Chiefs are currently favorites over the Eagles, according to DraftKings Sportsbook. We have been using Tallysight to get our picks in each week, so sign up at Tallysight for submitting your own bets.

This was a very hard game to pick as both teams are doing very well this season. The Chiefs are 7-2 and firmly planted in the top of the AFC West, while Philadelphia is 8-1 and will need to win this game to keep their lead over the red hot Dallas Cowboys in the NFC East.

According to ESPN.com, Philadelphia currently ranks as the fifth best total offense, but Kansas City has been formidable as well, sitting at ninth respectively. Where the two teams differ is on total defense, as the Chiefs boast one of the youngest and most talented defenses in the league, currently ranked fourth overall. That’s not to say Philadelphia has had a bad defense this year, and they may have one of the most talented defensive lines in the league, however they are ranked 14th in total defense and have struggled some in the secondary.

That said, I feel like Philly has more to play for in this game. On top of revenge for their Super Bowl loss, their division is also much tighter than Kansas City’s. They cannot risk dropping a game right now with the Cowboys nipping at their heels for the division lead and playoff seeding starting to take shape.

I am taking the Eagles to cover the spread and win the game. I am also taking the over in this one, consider that both Jalen Hurts and Patrick Mahomes will be on the field, and their previous Super Bowl matchup was a high scoring 38-35 matchup – there’s potential for big points tonight.
