Although the Packers get the prime time slot tonight, last year’s NFC title game rematch should be the biggest game on this week’s schedule.

The Green Bay Packers finally get to host their first Sunday Night Football game with Jordan Love as the starting quarterback this evening, as the Kansas City Chiefs are in town for an intriguing matchup. However, that will not be the biggest game on this week’s schedule, as that honor instead goes to a game kicking off in the late afternoon time slot.

That contest is an NFC Championship Game rematch from last season, with the Philadelphia Eagles hosting the San Francisco 49ers. Last year, the top-seeded Eagles blew out the 49ers 31-7 as San Francisco played most of the game with journeyman quarterback Josh Johnson under center after Brock Purdy’s early-game injury.

This year, Purdy has fully claimed the starting job for Kyle Shanahan’s squad, which should be largely healthy. Purdy leads the NFL in completion percentage, yards per pass attempt, and passer rating, and he has helped the 49ers to an 8-3 record. Will a healthy Purdy lead the 49ers to a small bit of revenge or will the Eagles overcome being a home underdog and all but lock up the NFC’s top seed?

After that game concludes, the Packers and Chiefs will kick off as Green Bay tries to stake its own claim to a playoff spot. A win moves Green Bay into the #7 spot in the NFC.

Of course, there are plenty of other games going on this week, so check out the schedule below and join us throughout the day to discuss all of Sunday’s games across the league.
