The Seattle Seahawks and the New Orleans Saints play in the final game of Week 7 in a Monday Night Football showdown that could have significant playoff seeding implications down the line.

Both the Seahawks and Saints are chasing the teams at the top of their respective divisions. In the NFC South it is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at 5-1 who could hold a three and a half game lead over the Saints by the time the week ends. In the NFC West the Seahawks will be, at best, three games behind the Arizona Cardinals entering Week 8, with a very real possibility that they could be a full five games back in the division before the season even reaches the midpoint.

In any case, while Pete Carroll downplayed the severity of the injuries to Damien Lews, Alex Collins and Darrell Taylor just days ago, all three are listed as questionable for the game this week.

Field Gulls will work to keep readers updated once the final injury report with practice participation is released later Saturday.

UPDATE:

And as soon as this published, the team released the final injury report including practice participation for Saturday.

So, the only member of the team who did not practice in some capacity Saturday was cornerback John Reid, who has been a healthy scratch in recent weeks.
