One of the teams that was widely speculated about when it came to potential suitors for former Tennessee Titans and new Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry was the Dallas Cowboys.
While the fit seemed like a good one, the Cowboys apparently didn’t even call the star running back before he ultimately landed with the Ravens.
That’s according to Henry, who told Adam Schein of Mad Dog Sports Radio that Dallas did not pursue him “at all” in free agency.
“Not at all,” Henry said. “Baltimore was showing the most interest and it was somewhere I wanted to be, so I’m glad we got it done. But the Cowboys never called at all.”
Henry said “of course” he had his eye on Dallas and cited how he stays there in the offseason. He also called the Cowboys “a great organization” and said it would have been a “great opportunity” to play for them.
You can check out all of Henry’s comments in the tweet below.

It is surprising the Cowboys didn’t at least reach out to Henry, as they are in need of a new running back after their previous starter, Tony Pollard, signed with Henry’s old team.
During an offseason in which the Cowboys have been quiet, fans are likely to be frustrated to hear their team didn’t even call the future Hall of Famer, who was clearly interested in going to Dallas.
