The injury rate in the NFL is nearly one hundred percent, and in what was largely an otherwise healthy game for the Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night Football against the New Orleans Saints, it appears as though Marquise Blair may have been lost for the season.

After the game Monday Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll updated fans and media, stating that Blair had suffered a significant knee injury. Tuesday brought some more clarity to the exact meaning of significant, and the news is not great.

So, while the Hawks 2018 first round pick returned to the field Monday for the first time since the season opening win over the Indianapolis Colts, it appears that during the course of the game the team lost one of its two 2019 second round selections. It’s a frustrating development for Blair, of course, after he missed almost all of the 2020 season while recovering from a torn ACL.
